Additionally, the studio contains a generous amount of outboard gear so our students will not only learn where particular plug-ins originated but will be able to experience an all analog signal chain while either mixing or recording. The space features a state of the art isolation booth that is intimate enough for the most discerning vocalist but can fit a medium size drum kit when needed. The live room boasts both 14 foot ceilings and ample natural light, creating a vibe for musicians to create their next great opus. This room also contains a Shigeru Kawai 7 foot grand piano and has sufficient space to comfortably house a medium size orchestra, choir, or band.
The beat labs feature cutting edge software running on power-horse computers. Students are able to express their creative side without being weighed down by technological delays. Each workstation has its very own MIDI keyboard and Avid M Box to help the student translate their ideas from conception to final composition. ex'treme Institute has worked hard to maintain the aesthetics of our renowned historical building, the Levee House, while ensuring students a modern and sophisticated learning environment that enhances their learning experience.
