Joshua Harris Bio
St. Louis native Josh Harris graduated from John Burroughs School and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Music from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. In 1999 Josh founded Seiren Productions creating opportunities for himself to work as a full-time music producer, engineer, composer and songwriter. Josh managed all aspects of producing, recording, mixing and remixing music for clients such as NBC, ABC, Showtime, MTV, VH-1, The Discovery Network, USA Network, Warner Bros., Interscope Records and Universal Music.
Less than a decade later Josh was working in Los Angeles as a musical director and keyboardist for Grammy®-Award winning recording artist, Seal. Josh created “live show” arrangements of Seal’s top hits for a series of national and international performances. In both 2007 and 2008, Josh was recognized by the International Dance Music Association with the “Best Remixer” nomination.
In 2009, Josh became Principal of Renegade Media Group which creates and develops “royalty-free” audio libraries. The organization secured product distribution with Beatport and Sounds to Sample and managed and supervised product placement and reviews with various audio publications. Two years later, Josh took on a new venture of authoring several courses for the audio channel, Lynda.com. His course topics, primarily related to remixing, have had over 21,000 viewers spanning over 90 countries to date.
As Seiren Productions remains Josh’s primary focus, with remixing now complete for over 250 major label recording artists, he continues to work as a private instructor for artists and bands teaching the art of business within the music industry.
